Coca-Cola introduced a LGBTQIA+ NFT collection in collaboration with Rich Mnisi in conjunction with marketing firms Virtue and Tafi. The partnership aims to celebrate Pride month with special artworks by Mnisi.
Virtue is a creative agency powered by Vice, the largest independent youth media company. Tafi is a digital collectible studio that has partnered with such brands as Champion, Adidas, Samsung, Warner Brothers, and others.
Rich Mnisi is a South African fashion designer known for leading campaigns for LGBTQIA+ rights in Africa. The Coca-Cola Pride collection includes 136 limited-edition artworks designed by Mnisi.
“Our hope with the pieces is to increase visibility by radiating the full spectrum of the community’s colors and spreading a simple message of Love,” said Coca-Cola’s website.
Minting is now open. Users will need to have Matic (Polygon) and connect their wallets using the Polygon Network. The NFTs sell for 335 MATIC (approximately $155).
The proceeds from the primary sales and resale of the Coca-Cola Pride collection will be donated to charities that serve the LGBTQIA+ community. To start, the company will forward the proceeds to OUT, a South African charity organization that provides individuals with mental and physical healthcare.
