Pride month celebrations continue! Decentraland held a Pride Parade and an after-party to honor the LGBTQ+ community worldwide. The Parade began on Saturday, June 11, and will run live 24/7 until the end of the month.
Decentraland is a virtual world where players can create scenes and artworks, explore LANDs, communicate with other users, and much more.
This year, Decentraland prepared a dedicated area within the virtual world: The Metaverse Pride 2022 Area, all painted in rainbows. It features the Metapride Land Stage, the Pride Parade Road, the Rainbow Stage, the welcome area, and booths. The latter host Decentraland’s partners, such as Mastercard, Teleperformance, and singer Thalia.

Decentraland prepared drops and gifts for the Parade’s visitors. For instance, individuals could receive free Wearables at Thalia’s festive booth. Fashion brand Original Penguin created a physical pride collection to support AllOut, an organization focused on political advocacy for the human rights of the LGBTQ+ community. Web3 community HUG introduced a huggable Glitter Robot. MyBFF presented colorful community-designed floats.
Don’t worry if you didn’t make it to the event! Decentraland will host another Metaverse pride party on June 25. The festival will be held both in real life and the virtual world; the Metapride Land Festival will take place in Brooklyn and last two days. The line-up features Above & Beyond, Aquaria, Gottmik, Violet Chachki, SG Lewis, and many others.
Users can consult the complete list of pride events on a dedicated page.
