With the sale of numerous works of art in the form of nonfungible tokens (NFTs) for tens of millions of dollars, Beeple established himself as one of the most influential visionaries in the NFT field. The record-breaking $69.3 million price tag for Beeple’s NFT collage “Everydays: the First 5000 Days” at Christie’s in March 2021 apparently made it the third most expensive piece of living art ever sold at auction.

Beeple is renowned for creating concert visuals for numerous artists, including Justin Bieber, One Direction, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Eminem, Zedd, and Deadmau5. His estimated net worth is between $70 million and $90 million, and he is 40 years old.

I literally make and post a new piece of artwork every single day. 😘😘😘 I thought we were here for art, no??

The artist, Mike Winkelmann, better known by his alias Beeple, created that piece of art, a digital collage titled “Everydays: The First 5000 Days.” As to the NFT, the original and verified digital artwork created by Winklemann belongs to the winning bidder at Christie’s. A new art book from Abrams’ Cernunnos imprint comes as a fresh consolation prize for the rest of us. Priced around $65, it is significantly cheaper than the single NFT by several orders of magnitude.

With the “Everydays” project, which he started in 2007, Winkelmann created a new piece of art every day and uploaded it to the internet. A collage of all the 5,000 photos makes up the digital NFT. Additionally, the 5,000 photographs are collected in the new book, many of which are in bigger resolutions than the ones that many people viewed online or on mobile phone screens.

2022

Beeple only recently became aware of NFTs in October 2020, but he is anticipated to continue solidifying his industry knowledge and creating NFT history throughout the year. It is also reasonable to assume that Beeple’s work will be relevant in the Metaverse in 2022 because the artist is also working on VR and AR art. Whether or not Beeple will establish a new auction record in 2022, the digital artist will undoubtedly continue to release new nonfungible token art and will continue to be a key player in the NFT arena.

With approximately 600,000 followers on Twitter and 2.5 million followers on Instagram, Beeple is a prominent player in the cryptocurrency industry as of this writing.
