German sportswear giant Puma has launched its updated web3 experience, “Black Station.” The virtual space now features two parts: Unkai, the city in the clouds, and Under, the club below. Both locations are filled with mysteries. According to PUMA’s tweet, the spaces feature things to explore and items to collect.
It’s worth noting that anyone can explore the virtual space. However, only individuals that hold RB tokens have the possibility to purchase the IRL Rulebreaker sneaker. In addition, RB token owners can claim two digital wearables. The PUMA RB tokens were airdropped to PUMA Pass Holders earlier this month. Token holders can burn them in order to redeem NFTs for physical sneakers through June 20. Notably, on June 21, unburned tokens will lose all utility.
Individuals that did not receive the airdrop can purchase the PUMA RB tokens on the secondary market. The current floor price of the collection is 0.0099 ETH, which is approximately $17.25 at the time of writing.
The brand’s fans can already enter the experience on a dedicated website. According to the initiative’s roadmap, Puma will also soon collaborate with GCG. In the third or fourth quarter of 2023, the brand will ship “10k Grailed Slipstreams,” launch the third experience on Black Station, and release “Nferno Ships.”
Pima first announced its new Black Station experience at the beginning of the month. The virtual venue was first launched in September 2022. The previous experience based on this 3D spatial playground featured a futuristic lobby and three rooms that hosted immersive virtual fashion shows.
Notably, this is not the brand’s only web3 initiative. The company has recently partnered with NBA star LaMelo Ball and Gutter Cat Gang to release limited-edition NFT sneakers. The tokens will go live on June 29 on the NFT marketplace OpenSea.
