Tom went to St. Thomas Academy while growing up in Minnesota. William Mitchell College of Law awarded him his JD after he graduated with a BA in Political Science from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks. Currently serving as a member of the Financial Services Committee, Tom is in his second term in Congress. In addition, Tom serves on the House Republican Steering Committee and the Republican Deputy Whip Team. He was named a Deputy Chair for the NRCC in January 2017.
