NBA legend Magic Johnson will launch an NFT collection
NBA Top Shot will drop Magic Johnson NFT packs.
Magic Johnson (real name Earvin Johnson Jr.) is a former professional basketball player. He has participated in 905 NBA games and was voted one of the 50 Great Players of All Time by the National Basketball Association.
After his retirement, Johnson continued influencing and inspiring people as a motivational speaker, broadcaster, philanthropist, and entrepreneur.
NBA paid homage to Earvin by creating the first-of-a-kind Anthology pack, reserved for iconic basketball players.
“The Anthology: Magic Johnson” includes the best moments of Earvin’s career.
Top Shot will issue 1,600 packs for this collection. Each pack will feature one of four of Johnson’s legendary plays from the Los Angeles Lakers NBA Championships. “Rare” packs include Game Winner vs. Celtics moment (’87/’88) and Platter Pass (’87/’88).
The two “Legendary” packs include Around the Body Pass (’84/’85) and Rookie Start at Center in the Finals (’79/’80).
The price for one pack is $399. Fans can only purchase one NFT per person.
“Celebrate the past, own the future”, says the promotional video of the collection.
“The anthology: Magic Johnson” will go live on June 7 at 1 PM PDT. Individuals can sign up for the whitelist on the NBA Top Shot website.
