RTFKT introduces Clone X Forging Season One, featuring 60 phygital items

The Trust Project is a worldwide group of news organizations working to establish transparency standards.

Creator-led organization RTFKT Studio has announced Clone X Forging Season One.

Clone X holders will be able to unlock physical RTFKT fashion items based on their NFTs. The drop will be divided into ten sets: Human, Robots, Angels, Demons, Alien, Reptile, Undead, Murakami, Murakami Drip, as well as a general one.

Every NFT owner will receive a set defined by the traits of a Clone X token they hold. Most of the NFTs will grant access to two physical garment pieces. Additionally, every token holder will receive a limited edition Genesis Clone X t-shirt from RTFKT.

The collection features more than sixty items, including sneakers, hoodies, t-shirts, jackets, hats, socks, and accessories. Each item, apart from hats and socks, will be equipped with a near-field communication chip. These tags enable communication between physical items and tokens.

The sneakers, set to launch during the next Forging season, will come in various designs. The RTFKT sneakers will include a pair designed by renowned Japanese artist Takashi Murakami, who contributed to the creation of the Clone X collection.

The largest-ever phygital collection is set to come out on August 31. The minting will be open for one week. Following, holders will have a week to claim the physical garment.

In July, RTFKT released an Augmented Reality Genesis hoodie in collaboration with Nike. Every item includes an NFC chip, making the hoodies suitable for both the holders and their Clone X avatars.

The current floor price of the Clone X collection is 7.17 ETH (approximately $11,160 at the time of writing), with 227.2K ETH of volume traded.
