DressX partners with Dundas to bring the brand’s luxury clothing to Roblox
In Brief
DressX and fashion brand Dundas release a collection of wearables for the Roblox Avatar Store
The collection includes 3 celebrity-inspired dresses and 2 merch items.
Multi-brand digital fashion marketplace DressX collaborates with luxury fashion brand Dundas to bring its designs to the virtual world of Roblox.
The DressX and Dundas’ “Party Drop” collection includes five fashion items developed with Roblox’s Layered Clothing technology. This innovative technology powers realistic and inclusive 3D clothing, which can fit any avatar’s body type.
The designs get inspiration from party moods and celebrity looks. For instance, one of the virtual dresses resembles Beyonce’s Grammy Awards 2017 outfit. The Roblox collection even features a “Queen Bey Gold Crown,” which matches the golden dress. The collection also features a metaverse-ready embellished dress and a 90s Barbie-styled pink mini dress. In addition to the party looks, Dundas and DressX developed two logo-embellished merchandise items, a sweatshirt and a black cap.
Virtual fashionistas can now purchase the items in Roblox Avatar Shop. The metaverse’s visitors can wear the pieces across all experiences provided by the platform.
“Our main goal is to utilize the new opportunities digital fashion brings to the industry and help the Metaverse generation to get creative wearing some of the most recognizable celebrity looks turned digital. With the incredible amount of attention and demand we have seen from our previous drop, we are very excited to receive the community’s response to our new Party Drop we have been carefully preparing with DRESSX,”
said the founders of Dundas, Peter Dundas and Evangelo Bousis.
Established by Peter Dundas and Evangelo Bousis in 2017, Dundas is open to innovation and risks. The brand specializes in red-carpet looks and has multiple stores in Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Mykonos, Dallas, and other locations.
This is not the first time Peter Dundas and Evangelo Bousis have partnered with DressX. In September 2022, the creatives released The Big Game collection, which consisted of four NFT artworks.
In December 2022, DressX partnered with Inditex’s brand Bershka to release a Christmas AR clothing collection. Before that, the digital fashion platform collaborated with American company GAP to develop metaverse-ready hoodies.
