South Korea’s second-largest cryptocurrency exchange, Bithumb, announced its plans to list Bonk (BONK) and Zeta Chain (ZETA) tokens on the Korean Won market, effective from today. As per the official announcement, trading for BONK has already commenced, while trading for ZETA will commence at 07:00 pm local time.
Trading for Bonk will be enabled on the Solana network, with deposits from other networks not being supported. The base trading price for Bonk is set at 0.0336 Won, with 20 deposit confirmations required.
BONK is the Solana-based memecoin, featuring a dog as its central theme, aimed at bolstering the Solana community and enhancing its ecosystem development. To achieve this, the project focuses on supporting multi-chains, enhancing the convenience of using decentralized finance (DeFi), incorporating currencies into diverse blockchain games, and offering rewards to the community and ecosystem contributors through BonkDAO. The BONK token is utilized within various community-created projects and is instrumental in suggesting and voting on initiatives within BonkDAO.
Meanwhile, trading for Zeta Chain will be exclusively carried out on the Ethereum and ZetaChain networks. It’s worth noting that only deposits to Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) addresses beginning with ‘0x’ are accepted for the ZetaChain. The base trading price for Zeta Chain is set at 2,212 Won, with 1 deposit confirmation required for Ethereum and 10 for ZetaChain.
Zeta Chain operates as a highly interoperable Layer 1 public blockchain. Leveraging its cross-chain messaging and Omnichain smart contract capabilities, users can facilitate transfers and messaging across different blockchains or layers more efficiently. The ZetaChain project team aims to facilitate developers in building decentralized applications (dApps) seamlessly through these functionalities. ZETA serves as Zeta Chain’s utility token, used for validator rewards, staking rewards, gas fees, service usage fees, and governance purposes.
