The collection will feature two NFT tiers. The Standard Edition costs $30 and includes an interactive location-based menu, special features, and behind-the-scenes images. This set of tokens will be available for purchase from June 9 to June 16. The Premium Edition will cost $100 and include three versions: Truth, Justice, and Hope. It also contains illustrations of Christopher Reeve’s Superman from three DC artists. In addition, the pack offers access to an interactive menu and three movie versions. This edition will be available from June 9 to June 10.

More than that, all collectors will be airdropped with free vouchers they can redeem for three Superman comics, coming in Common to Legendary rarities. NFT holders will find the comics on the DC NFT marketplace.

The release will take place on Warner Bros. NFT marketplace. It is powered by the Eluvio blockchain, known for its proof-of-authority consensus mechanism that reduces its carbon footprint. Notably, individuals will have the possibility to pay for the tokens in crypto or by using a credit card.

“For fans of this beloved and iconic film, Superman: The Movie is being released as an exclusive web3 film and immersive digital collectible for the first time,” said the CEO and co-founder of Eluvio, Michelle Munson.

Warner Bros. has previously released several web3 initiatives along with its NFT marketplace. In June 2022, the film and entertainment studio dropped “What’s Up Block?” – a non-fungible token collection featuring 10,000 Tweety Bird-inspired artworks. In October, the company released NFTs for its 2001 film “Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring.”
