The Sandbox partners with ‘Parasite’ producer, entertainment giant CJ ENM
Gaming ecosystem The Sandbox has announced its partnership with South Korean entertainment content company CJ ENM. The collaboration aims to introduce Generation Z users to the Metaverse.
CJ ENM is a global content leader. It focuses on broadcasting, movies, music, live entertainment, and game industries. Among the films produced by the company are the well-known Parasite and Prison Playbook. CJ ENM also organizes and supports K-Culture festivals and events.
“We’re proud to be the partner of South Korea’s leading content company CJ ENM. CJ ENM covers all kinds of genres; dramas, movies, entertainments, musicals, etc. This diverse content will enrich the Metaverse with many enjoyable experiences,” said the CEO of The Sandbox Korea, Cindy Lee.
The companies plan to introduce users to the Metaverse experience by combining virtual experiences with real-life ones. Together with The Sandbox, CJ ENM will build a “K-content Metaverse” using the organization’s Intellectual Property. For instance, popular tv-series and movies.
“We will carry out various Metaverse-related projects starting with our partnership with The Sandbox. CJ ENM will provide a new level of experience where users get to make their own content as the creators,” said Head of Content R&D Center of CJ ENM, Yeop Kim.
This month, The Sandbox will also partner with Japanese school of content Digital Hollywood Studios. The companies will host “The Sandbox’s First Steps in the Creator Economy” seminar on July 9.
