The Russian feminist protest collective Pussy Riot has launched the “Proof of Protest” NFT collection to support reproductive rights.

Minting lasts till July 9 on Lenster, a decentralized permissionless social media app powered by Lens protocol.
Pussy Riot collaborated with digital artist Ksti Hu for the release. The artwork features a glass bottle filled with pink liquid and branded with “Feminism” and “Reproductive rights.” Proceeds will be donated to support those rights.
The original Pussy Riot collective was launched in 2011 and included approximately 11 women. Today, hundreds of individuals participate in the movement.
In 2021, Nadya Tolokonnikova, the face of Pussy Riot, co-founded Unicorn DAO. The organization focuses on gender-fluid utopias and the creation of NFTs. In May this year, the DAO raised $4.5 million to support women and LGBTQ+ artists.
In June, Unicorn DAO acquired the “legalabortion.eth” ENS domain. Anyone can send donations to the address. Received offerings go to 7 top reproductive rights companies: Center for Reproductive Rights, Sister Song, NARAL Pro-Choice America, Fos Feminista, Planned Parenthood, Fund Texas Choice, and URGE.
“By allowing activists like Pussy Riot to go direct-to-audiences with a technology that makes NFT minting as simple as posting or liking a post, Lens is empowering a new generation of humanitarians with a way to make an immediate global impact without fear of censorship,” said Stani Kulechov, the CEO of Aave companies.
