How Nexus Interactive is Powering the Next Generation of Digital Entertainment
We are moving into an era of user-generated content or UGC, with developers intent on empowering players to easily build and monetize their virtual experiences. How, though, do developers manage that feat when many platforms typically capture most of the economic benefits, leaving UGC gamers with minimal rewards? Web3 gaming studio Nexus Interactive claims to have the answer.
Nexus Interactive targets ordinary users who are always getting the short end of the stick when it comes to the distribution of value within digital entertainment ecosystems. These users, who are increasingly becoming both content consumers as well as creators, receive very limited support and tools from the platforms to unleash their creativity. Additionally, the centralized nature of existing platforms means that UGC players are unable to own and monetize their personally crafted experiences.
These are the main challenges that Nexus Interactive aims to address. They’re creating an interconnected Web3 ecosystem that brings together different games, developers, creators and players to drive collective growth. Crucially, the new vision involves empowering the UGC community with cutting-edge AI tools to help them build new IPs and share in the value of what they help create.
To realize this objective, Nexus Interactive offers three solutions:
Nexus Play: Their gaming development studio behind sought-after titles such as Everdawn: Champions, Questing Realms, and more.
Nexus Build: A Web3 publisher launching great games built by other developers within the Nexus Interactive ecosystem.
Nexus Share: AI-powered UGC and community-powered programs that grow the Nexus ecosystem, where users share in value what they create.
Many players want to make popular content and be recognized among communities. Nexus Interactive, through Nexus Share, is providing easy to use tools for players to create quality gaming content that can be implemented and used in-game and monetised by the creator.
The company also recently relaunched the aforementioned Everdawn: Champions (previously called Aradena: Battlegrounds). This relaunch allows for the expansion of the game into a larger world and ecosystem, with Aradena now becoming just one of the kingdoms.
However, the lore and gameplay will remain the same. Therefore, users can expect a tactical trading card game where your cards come to life in a vivid, 3D gameplay featuring insanely fun, fast-paced tactical battles, similar to what we saw with Arena Battlegrounds.
Nexus Interactive dropped a teaser trailer and said the game will be released in August 2024.
As for Aradena NFTs, these will migrate to Base, and holders will also receive a token airdrop. Once migration is complete, the minting of Card NFTs will commence on the Base chain.
At its heart, Everdawn is a pretty familiar competitive crypto card-battler. Payers battle each other inside a dynamic, 3D Hex battlefield. The goal is to kill your opponent’s Golem by bringing their health points to zero.
Before heading into the battle, players must collect cards to build a deck. This deck is made of Units, Spells, and Warriors.Each time you play a card, it transforms into a fully animated 3D unit.
The Nexus Interactive team will also hold a playtest weekend for Everdawn: Champions in the coming weeks, so keep an eye out for that. Beta launch will follow soon after on Epic Games.
Other than Everdawn, the team has also launched Questing Realms, a web-based game where players can engage in quests, explore a medieval fantasy world, and collect rewards including in-game items, NFTs and an airdrop of the $NXI ecosystem token. Their third game is Snap Royale, mobile autobattler that is still in development.
NXI token launch
Nexus Interactive says its native token, $NXI will go live in 2024. $NXI will have utility for premium game currencies within all the games within the Nexus Interactive ecosystem. Players will be able to convert their game points to $NXI to gain rewards. They can also earn passive income by staking and yield farming the tokens. $NXI will also serve as a governance token giving token holders voting rights on the platform.
