The Trust Project is a worldwide group of news organizations working to establish transparency standards.

Blue-chip NFT project Doodles aims to become a leading media franchise, saying that the brand is no longer an “NFT project.” The news was shared by Doodles’ co-founder Poopie on the project’s Discord server. His comment was actually a reply to one of the users’ questions who wanted to sell all his Doodle NFTs.

It’s worth noting that earlier this month, Doodles indirectly stated that the company plans to become a media franchise:
“We’re striving to build one of the greatest entertainment and lifestyle experiences in the world, and our community and their collectibles will be connected to all of it.”
However, the company did not give further “we are not an NFT project” statements on its Twitter page. In fact, for the past three days, Doodles has been promoting a mint of its new NFT collection dubbed “Gold Socks.”
Doodles is originally an NFT collection of 10,000 colorful generative artworks. It was launched in October 2021 by Evan Keast, Scott Martin, and Jordan Castro.
Following the collection’s success, the company released more projects. Earlier this month, the brand presented a “Doodleverse” map that showcases all its aspects and products: Doodles 2, Genesis Box, Dooplicator, Space Doodles, Doodlebank, and the upcoming Doodles Records and The Stoodio.
It’s worth noting that in June 2022, Doodles received $54 million from Alexis Ohanian’s VC firm Seven Seven Six. The investment was supposed to go to the development of a global web3 entertainment brand. So, Poopie’s Discord comment confirms the fact that Doodles aims to become a well-known media franchise.
