DC Comics to Release 20,000 Batman Cowls as NFTs

Legendary American Comic book publisher ‘DC Comics’ is launching 200,000 unique Bat Cowl NFTs with 100 different traits and over 2 billion combinations. The attributes reflect the diversity of Batman stories and guarantee the uniqueness of each NFT. The Bat Cowl collection will play a part in the future stories of DC Comics and will serve as “a model for infinite storytelling.”
Warner Bros. announced the news about the launch on behalf of DC Comics and Palm NFT Studio during the NFTLA event.
The digital Dark Knight’s headpieces will unlock a roadmap with utilities, such as access to exclusive products and collectibles and benefits at DC fan events. New features will be revealed for the holders every two months over two years, and the digital cowls will be available for the use in metaverse.
Bat Cowl NFTs will be minted on the energy-efficient Palm network – a new token-powered ecosystem for NFTs connected to the Ethereum blockchain, which offers lower gas costs and faster transactions.
The Batman-themed collection drops on April 26. Each NFT will cost $300, bringing a total of $60 million for DC and Warner Bros.
