Today, Azuki Twin Tigers NFT holders can redeem their non-fungible tokens for real-life jackets. Individuals can order the jacket free of cost for the next 30 days.
In May, the company airdropped 10,000 Twin Tiger Jacket NFTs to Azuki holders.
Since the project has focused on high fashion and lifestyle, the team ensured that the pieces were exclusive. The IRL jackets are handmade using high-quality materials, such as quilted Japanese silk and Italian nickel. Chainstitch and chenille embroidery, designed by Azuki’s artist Steamboy, are also handcrafted.
The manufacturer’s suggested retail price for a jacket is $2,000. On a side note, the clothing item is reversible – one side is blue, and the other is red. Therefore, holders that choose to keep the tokenized version of the jacket will only have it in the blue version.
Azuki is an NFT project created by Los Angeles-based start-up Chiru Labs. In January this year, the company released its first Azuki NFT collection of 10,000 anime-inspired artworks and had success among collectors.
On March 30, an Azuki NFT was sold for $1.42 million on the secondary market.
The current floor price of the collection is 11.09 ETH (approximately $16,600 at the time of writing) and traded 225K worth of ETH.
In addition to the drop, the secondary market revenue of the Jackets will be donated to the AAPI community “Stand with Asians.” The organization collaborates with creators and distributes funds among underserved Asian American and Pacific Islander communities.
