Virtual world platform The Sandbox launches the Puss in Boots experience. The release celebrates the release of the new film, “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish,” which is now available in theatres worldwide.
Available through January 11, the movie-inspired gamified experience takes place on the virtual Little Big Island. Puss in Boots invites The Sandbox players to explore the island and help its animals survive. Users can uncover the mysteries of the virtual location. The Sandbox experience features mini-games, and users that resolve at least one quest will win exclusive memorabilia NFTs. Players can also find resources, solve puzzles, and the island’s mysteries.
The Sandbox continues introducing gamified experiences in collaboration with well-known companies and brands. Last week, the teenager-oriented virtual community Habbo opened a virtual hotel on the metaverse platform. Toy brand Care Bears released a festive experience in The Sandbox, along with a branded limited-edition NFT collection.
Earlier this month, The Council of Fashion Designers of America partnered with the fashion-oriented NFT platform Brand New Vision to launch a virtual exhibition in The Sandbox. Named “Fashioning the Shades of American Design,” the demonstration exposed 60 years of archives and iconic moments of American fashion.
