Ready Player Me, a metaverse platform for cross-game avatars, partners with Unstoppable Domains to enable access to decentralized applications and metaverses under one digital identity.
Unstoppable Domains is a web3 domain provider that helps users build their digital identities for virtual worlds. Individuals can use these domain names to send or receive cryptocurrencies, create decentralized websites, and access games and metaverses.
With the new feature, customers can use their Ready Player Me avatars as Unstoppable Domains profile pictures. In addition, the domain startup provides branded outfits for the avatars. Individuals can now register on the Ready Player Me platform to check out the newest metaverse looks. Existing Ready Player Me users will also receive $50 to claim their Unstoppable domain names.
“With the collaboration, Unstoppable’s users will be able to create their digital identity using the Ready Player Me avatar creator and use it in thousands of compatible apps and games, as well as dApps supported by Unstoppable Domains,” said the CEO of Ready Player Me, Timmu Tõke.
On a side note, in July 2022, Unstoppable Domains raised $65 million in a Series A round led by Pantera Capital. The startup is currently valued at $1 billion.
Ready Player Me also received an investment in the summer of 2022, as it raised $56 million in a Series B round led by noted VC fund Andreessen Horowitz.
The company has introduced several notable partnerships since. In October, the metaverse platform released a collection of NFT wearables in collaboration with digital fashion marketplace DressX. Following this, in November, RPM dropped a set of ten makeup and hair looks created by beauty brands Maybelline New York and L’Oréal Professionnel.
