The Trust Project is a worldwide group of news organizations working to establish transparency standards.

British rock group Muse will release their ninth studio album, “Will of the People,” as non-fungible tokens (NFTs). As a result, the album will become the first-ever NFT to qualify in the British and Australian charts.
The group chose eco-friendly music NFT platform Serenade for the release. The marketplace has already partnered with such artists as The Kooks, Ahren Stringer, Gary Powell, and others.
The “Will of the People” NFTs will go on sale for £20 (approximately $24.50). The non-fungible tokens will include a downloadable version of the album, high-resolution FLAC files, and the group members’ digital signatures. Unfortunately, the double Grammy Award winners will only sell 1,000 NFT copies of the album globally.
Muse, Warner Music, and Universal Music Publishing, who all worked on the “Will of the People,” will receive 15% of the creators’ fee whenever the NFTs sell.
Fans do not need to have cryptocurrency wallets to purchase these NFTs. Serenade will create a wallet and transfer the tokens automatically after each purchase. However, customers can also use their existing cryptocurrency wallets.

It’s worth noting that Muse has already participated in Web3 projects before. For example, in 2020, the group partnered with blockchain platform CryptoKitties to develop digital collectibles.
“The band have always been at the forefront of technological innovation in their creativity and artistry,” said the vice president of audience and strategy at Warner Records in the UK, Sebastian Simone.
The album’s release is scheduled for August 26. Fans can subscribe to the Serenade mailing list to register their interest.
