David Beckham, Billie Eilish, and Doctor Who File NFT and Metaverse Trademark Applications

David Beckham plans to issue virtual reality clothing and footwear, as well as headgear for use in online virtual worlds.

Billie Eilish registers two NFT and metaverse trademark applications to release concert tickets, audio and video recordings as non-fungible tokens. 

The BBC will reportedly issue NFT-backed films, TV and radio programs, animated cartoons, sound and video recordings, and other media assets.

David Beckham, Billie Eilish, and Doctor Who are filing NFT and metaverse trademark applications. The United States Patent and Trademark Office licensed trademark attorney Mike Kondoudis shared the news on Twitter. 

According to the tweet, the USPTO has allowed renowned football player David Beckham to file three non-fungible token and metaverse trademark applications. The celebrity can now register his name as a trademark for web3 applications. Beckham reportedly plans to develop online retail services featuring virtual reality items like clothing and footwear. The player will also release downloadable computer programs, headgear, and footwear for online virtual worlds. So, football fans might expect an upcoming football VR game released by Beckham. 

David will also reportedly issue non-downloadable goods for virtual environments and virtual reality-based entertainment events, such as film festivals and art shows. 

The USPTO has also allowed singer Billie Eilish to register two NFT and metaverse trademark applications. The artist can now apply for trademarks of her name and “blohsh.” According to Kondoudis’s tweet, Billie plans to release concert tickets and audio and video recordings as non-fungible tokens. The singer will also develop downloadable game software featuring tokens and virtual currency that can be used in virtual worlds. 

The BBC steps into the web3 space with a new NFT and virtual reality trademark application. 

The British Broadcasting Corporation has trademarked the Doctor Who logo. The application covers NFT-backed films, TV and radio programs, animated cartoons, sound and video recordings, and other media assets. The BBC also plans to develop footwear and headgear, reportedly for use in virtual reality video games. In addition, the trademark covers printed publications, such as books and comics, and communications services. 

These are not the only media personalities and brands to have applied for NFT and metaverse trademark applications. Among the other well-known companies that have recently done so are Haribo, The Premier League, and Bobbi Brown
