Binance partners with Ukrainian pharmacy chain ANC to enable cryptocurrency payments

Customers can pay in crypto in Kyiv stores and online

The Trust Project is a worldwide group of news organizations working to establish transparency standards.

World’s leading cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, partners with ANC Pharmacy, one of the largest pharmacy chains in Ukraine. The company has an online store and over 1,000 retail locations across the country, including Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Odesa.

The partnership will enable ANC Pharmacy’s customers to pay for their purchases using bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. The first location to accept crypto payments will be Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. In addition, ANC’s clients will have the option to use crypto for instant online purchases.

Individuals that wish to pay for goods in cryptocurrencies need to download the Binance application, select the products, and pay using Binance Pay. If ordering online, customers can pick up the packs at the nearest pharmacy.

ANC Pharmacy names itself one of the most innovative pharmacy chains and claims to be moving toward digitalization. Indeed, the initiative makes ANC the largest global pharmacy to accept crypto.

This is not the first time Binance has partnered with a Ukrainian retail store. In September 2022, the exchange platform enabled cryptocurrency payments for clients of the supermarket chain Varus. Customers from nine Ukrainian cities, Kyiv, Kamianske, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Vyshorod, Pavlograd, Zaporizhzhia, Brovary, and Nikopol, could enjoy instant cryptocurrency payments.

Digital fashion platform DressX is another web3 company that has supported Ukraine. In March, the company released the ‘FASHION for PIECE’ collection and donated proceeds to the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, 3D fashion designers in need, and charity funds.
