In Brief
Darewise Entertainment, supported by Animoca Brands, joins forces with Horizen Labs to introduce the world’s first Bitcoin metaverse token.
The partnership aims to revolutionize gaming and digital interactions, with the token finding its primary use in the Life Beyond metaverse.

Darewise Entertainment, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands and Web3 gaming company behind the Life Beyond metaverse, has partnered with Horizen Labs to launch the pioneering metaverse ecosystem token for the Bitcoin network. Horizen Labs previously offered guidance on smart contracting and token strategy for the ApeCoin (APE) launch.
The partnership aims to introduce the world’s first metaverse ecosystem token for the Bitcoin network, opening new horizons for gaming, brands, and real-world interactions. The upcoming token will primarily be used in Life Beyond. Gamers and enthusiasts can use the token for in-game items, virtual properties, and various experiences within the platform.
Yat Siu, co-founder and executive chairman of Animoca Brands, highlighted his enthusiasm for Bitcoin’s evolution, driven by the Ordinals protocol:
“With the advent of the Ordinals protocol, we’re witnessing a pivotal moment for Bitcoin as it extends its reach and introduces the concept of culture. High-quality gaming is one of the keys to mass adoption, and we’re thrilled that our AAA studio Darewise Entertainment is working on this untapped opportunity in partnership with Horizen Labs, a pioneer and expert in its field.”
In addition, Vincent Marty, chief product officer at Darewise Entertainment, hinted at forthcoming technological breakthroughs that will not only power Life Beyond Chapter 1 in 2024 but also benefit metaverses and games worldwide.
Horizen Labs will contribute technical services, tokenomics consultation, and the development of crucial tools and applications to enhance the Ordinals ecosystem. Founded in 2019, the company aims to create a safer and fairer decentralized digital world. Horizen Labs has expertise in zero-knowledge cryptography and developing vital Web3 tools, enabling programmable, scalable blockchains and protocols.
