Timbaland releases a new music video featuring Bored Apes
Grammy-winning producer and entrepreneur Timbaland released a Metaverse music video featuring Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs. “Has A Meaning” introduces Bored Ape Congo (#590) — Timbaland’s alter ego and avatar for his Twitter profile picture.
The premiere took place last week during NFT.NYC, with the official release happening on the glass.xyz platform. Glass Protocol is the first community-owned video platform that lets users own NFT videos. Individuals can purchase one of the 100 non-fungible tokens of “Has A Meaning.” The edition price is 0.4 ETH ($443 at the time of writing). Forty-eight NFTs out of 100 have already been sold. Holders will also have the opportunity to redeem them for audio and special behind-the-scenes footage.
The video was made partly using Unreal Engine, a real-time 3D creation tool for photoreal visuals developed by Epic Games. Zayd Portillo, Timothy Mosley, Noitom, and Light Energy worked on the production of “Has A Meaning” along with Timbaland.
Bored Ape Congo is not the producer’s only blue-chip NFT. He also owns BAYC #7761, AKA Pinky. Furthermore, Timbaland has an Otherdeed #590, land in Yuga Labs’ Otherside Metaverse, which can be seen in “Has A Meaning.”
