The Sandbox’ People of Crypto mint starts today
The Sandbox Metaverse just launched the public mint of the People of Crypto avatar collection, a celebration of diversity, culture, and representation in the crypto space. The Sandbox aims to ensure the advancement of differently-abled, black and brown women, LGBTQIA+, and POC individuals in Web 3.
The collection includes 8,430 next-generation Avatars with more than a hundred traits. Some of the NFTs in the collection are hand-crafted 1:1 pieces. Holders can personalize the avatars by displaying their sexual orientation and pronouns.
“You decide who you want to be,” says the Sandbox’s website.
The avatars wear makeup by NYX, a professional cosmetics brand which collaborated with The Sandbox for the Pride month.
The Avatars will be playable in The Sandbox starting with Alpha Season 3. Avatars’ holders will have the possibility to attend exclusive events held by People of Crypto and participate in Play and Earn activities. The Sandbox did not share the official release date of Season 3 yet. Nevertheless, we know that the company is currently working on it.
From June 24 to July 3 the virtual world will run events dedicated to the Belonging week. The Sandbox invites players to celebrate their uniqueness and differences in the Metaverse.
