The Trust Project is a worldwide group of news organizations working to establish transparency standards.

The Tour and Autograph, a Web3 company founded by NFL player Tom Brady, will create golf-themed historical NFTs. The project’s board advisor is the professional golfer Tiger Woods.
The NFTs will feature the PGA Tour’s competition imagery, video, data, and other related material, including the best Tour golfers, memorable moments from the current season, and archives. Collectors will be able to earn rewards, including access to exclusive experiences in real life and the digital space. The NFTs will also provide utility and benefits.
Woods said in a press release that NFTs can create a connection between all golf players and fans. The American golfer has launched his own NFTs through Autograph in the past. Now he is partially creating the PGA Tour’s digital collectibles.
Golfweek reported that the Tour’s vice president of media business development, Chris Wandell, compared NFTs to the early days of the internet. NFTs are considered (by some) as revolutionary products that change how digital goods are bought and sold.
“We’re on our 1-yard line and have the length of the field to grow. This is going to be really good for fans and players. We think it will be a game-changer,”
Wandell said.
The Tour’s NFTs will launch on Autograph in early 2023. Autograph was created in April 2021 and released the first sports-related NFTs in the summer of last year. Digital collectibles on the NFT platform have featured athletes like Wayne Gretzky, Derek Jeter, and Simone Biles, among others.
