Italian luxury fashion brand Prada introduces its 42nd Timecapsule NFT collection.
Timecapsule is an NFT-backed project that makes part of Prada Crypted, the brand’s web3 initiative launched in December 2019. In 2022, the company started issuing NFTs that back its limited-edition physical items.
The brand’s new drop features physical tank tops with floral designs in blue and white colors. Notably, the items are made of upcycled floral-pattern jacquard terry cloth from the Prada Archive. The front of the tank top displays the Prada enameled triangle logo. The back contains a special tag that reads “June,” the month of the drop. Each shirt is accompanied by a corresponding gifted non-fungible token. The tokens grant holders access to the Prada Crypted NFT community on Discord, as well as to perks and exclusive events.
Fashion fans can mint the exclusive NFTs starting June 1 at 3 PM CET. Notably, the minting will last for 24 hours only. The release only features 50 pieces, so collectors should be fast.
Among the countries that can participate in the mint are Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China Mainland, Cyprus, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong S.A.R., Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Estonia, Republic of Korea, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and the United States.
In May 2022, Prada created the Prada Crypted Discord community, which offers members of the Prada ecosystem access to future Prada designs and NFTs. The group allows members to share their ideas and enthusiasm, bridging the realms of fashion, art, architecture, cinema, music, and web3.
On a side note, individuals who purchased Prada Timecapsule items before the NFT initiative launch in June 2022 will be able to claim past Timecapsule NFTs aligned with their existing physical items. For more details, community members can visit the Prada Crypted server on Discord.
