NFT project Deadfellaz partners with DJ Steve Aoki to release a Halloween fashion capsule
In Brief
Deadfellaz partners with Aoki’s brand Dim Mak to drop the clothing line
Fans can purchase the items during Deadfellaz’s “Deadzone LA” event on October 29
NFT project Deadfellaz partners with DJ Steve Aoki’s record label and brand Dim Mak to drop an exclusive clothing line.
The fashion collaboration comes out right before Halloween and will feature “monster” t-shirts, hoodies, a varsity jacket, and even branded skate decks. The capsule was designed collaboratively by Steve Aoki, the Dim Mak team, Deadfellaz, and the project’s illustrator Leon Lee.
“Deadfellaz x Dim Mak” is set to be released during Deadfellaz’s “Deadzone LA” IRL event, which will take place on October 29 in Arts District at ROW DTLA. Betty and Psych invite the NFT community to the “post-apocalyptic world of Deadfellaz,” which will feature music, multi-sensory experiences, performances, food, and beverage.
In addition, the Deadfellaz team will organize a Metaverse version of the party for its international NFT owners.
“Working with Steve has been so fun. He has embraced Web3 and helped shape the space as it is so far, which has been especially impactful given his incredible success in a multitude of spaces like music, fashion, art, tech, and more. This collaboration comes a year after Steve DJ’d an exclusive set for The Horde at our very first Deadfellaz metaverse event last Halloween, so it feels very special to us,”
says Betty, the co-founder of Deadfellaz.
Deadfellaz is a collection of 10,000 PFP-styled zombie NFTs. The project was co-founded by Betty and Psych and was first released in August 2021. Since then, Deadfellaz has gained collectors’ attention and has reached a total trading volume of 31K ETH. The current floor price of the collection is 0.94 ETH (approximately $1,240 at the time of writing).
Notably, in September this year, Deadfellaz announced another fashion collaboration – the project partners with the global jean brand Wrangler.
Steve Aoki participates actively in the Web3 space. In 2021, the DJ launched his Metaverse fan club, Aokiverse. In July this year, Aoki partnered with the virtual gaming world of The Sandbox to release a collection of 3,333 NFT avatars, playable in Season 3.
