May 16th
Metatheory, a gaming startup developed by DuskBreakers, has raised $24M in a Series A round. It was led by Andreessen Horowitz and backed by Pantera Capital and FTX Ventures. Among other investors of the round are Breyer Capital, Merit Circle, Recharge Thematic Ventures, Dragonfly Capital Partners, Daedalus, Sfermion, and Global Coin Research.
May 17th
Zacrey, a layer 2 cross-chain protocol, has completed its angel round with the strategic $6M investment by Binance Labs. Spartan Group and Shima Capital led the round in March 2022.
CyberConnect, a Web 3 social graph protocol, raised $15M in a Series A round.
The raise was led by Animoca Brands and Sky9 Capital. Among other participants are Delphi Digital, Protocol Labs, IOSG Ventures, Tribe Capital, GGV Capital, Spartan Group, Amber Group, Polygon Studios, and SevenX Ventures.
Certora, a smart contract security firm, has raised $36M in a Series B round.
It was led by Jump Crypto, with the participation of Tiger Global, Galaxy Digital, Electric Capital, ACapital, Framework Ventures, CoinFund, Lemniscap, Coinbase, and VMware.
Coinshift, a Web3 treasury management infrastructure startup, raised $15M.
The round was led by Tiger Global led the round. Among other investors are Sequoia Capital India, Alameda Ventures, Spartan Group, Ethereal Ventures, Polygon Studios, and HashKey Capital.
May 18th
DoraHacks, a Hackathon organizer, has raised $20M in a funding round led by FTX Ventures and Liberty City Ventures. Among other investors of the round are Circle Ventures, Gemini Frontier Fund, Sky9 Capital, CryptoCom Capital, and Amber Group.
Pine Protocol, an NFT-backed crypto plan platform, raised $1.5M in a seed round. It was led by Sino Global, Amber Group, and Spartan Group. Among other investors are Alameda Research, Shima Capital, Impossible Finance, and Gate Ventures.
FreshCut, a short-form gaming content ecosystem, raised $15M.
The leading investors are Galaxy Interactive, Animoca Brands, and Republic Crypto. The round was backed by Hashed, SkyVision Capital, Tamarack Global, C2X, and Polygon.
QuestBook, a Web3 funding platform, raised $8.3M in a Series A funding. The round was led by Lemniscap. Other investors are Coinbase Ventures, Alameda Research, Dragonfly, Hashed, Polygon, Balaji Srinivasan, Raj Gokal from Solana, Arjun Sethi from Tribe Capital, and Maneesh Sharma from GitHub.
BitKeep, a Web3 wallet, has closed $15M in a Series A funding at a $100M valuation.
Among the investors are Dragonfly Capital, KuCoin Ventures, A&T Capital, Foresight Ventures, SevenX, Matrixpor, Bixin Capital, Danhua Capital, Peak Capital, and YM Capital.
Tally Labs, a decentralized content ecosystem, has raised $12M in a seed round.
The participants are a16z, Dapper Labs, Framework Ventures, and Connect Ventures.
May 19th
Azra Games, a P2E studio, raised $15M in a seed round led by Andreessen Horowitz.
Among other participants are NFX, Coinbase Ventures, Play Ventures, and Franklin Templeton.
Saga, a Web3 infrastructure startup, has raised $6.5M in a seed round at a $130M valuation. The investors in this round are Maven 11, Longhash Ventures, Hypersphere, Figment, Polygon Studios, Samsung NEXT, Chorus One, GSR, C2X, CRIT Ventures, Merit Circle, Hustle Fund, Unanimous Capital, Strangelove Ventures, and Tess Ventures.
