Hyundai Card will launch an NFT marketplace and wallet
Korean credit card company Hyundai Card announced the upcoming launch of an NFT marketplace and wallet.
“Modern Lion” is the name of the venture. The company partnered with Like Lion, generators of MetaKongz and Syltare creation.
“We will try our best to make Modern Lion become an influential NFT player and win an outstanding status in the global market,” said Lee Doo-hee, CEO of Like Lion.
Along with establishing an NFT trading platform, Hyundai Card aims to launch a local programming education startup. They also plan to issue an NFT collection based on the company’s assets. Like Lion will source NFTs and curate the platform.
“Hyundai Card and Like Lion will do their utmost to maximize synergies by garnering all their capabilities,” said Chung Tae-young, Vice Chairman and CEO of Hyundai.
Users can expect the NFT platform and the wallet to roll out in the end of 2022.
Hyundai is expanding into NFT and Metaverse spheres. The company has already launched various blockchain-powered projects and announced several upcoming NFT-based musical and cultural programs. Hyundai Card also has a dedicated Twitter page, available in Korean.
