The South Korean automobile manufacturer is reportedly launching a Metaverse, partnering with the ‘Meta Kongz’ NFT project.
Hyundai Motor Company’s vision is the ‘Metamobility’ that would ‘expand human reach to access ultimate freedom of mobility’.
To explore the digital space, Hyundai partnered with Meta Kongz, a collection of 10,000 randomly generated 3D PFPs, available on OpenSea. As most PFP projects, Meta Kongz feature a variety of traits. The goal of the creator, Lee Duhee, and his team, is to represent Korea in the NFT space and globalize NFTs in the country. Confirming these intentions, the roadmap of Kongz features an ‘official billboard in Seoul to celebrate the project go sold out’.

To enter fully the NFT space, the automobile manufacturer has launched a separate Twitter account and a Discord space. The pages already feature news and updates on the collection.
In order to celebrate the beginning of the Metaverse project, Hyundai will create a special NFT collection of 30 pieces that will be available on the Meta Kongz page. Then, in May 2022, the automobile brand will issue a variety of NFTs as innovative mobility vehicles, as the beginning of the ‘Hyundai Metamobility universe’.
