Huawei Cloud Reveals Roadmap for Web3 Transformation at Token2049

In Brief
Huawei Cloud unveiled its roadmap for Web3 transformation at the Token2049 event in Singapore.
The company showcased innovations in faster ZK rollup transactions, enhanced security, and increased IPFS cloud data rewards, aiming to improve efficiency, protection, and scalability in the Web3 industry.

At the Token2049 event in Singapore, Huawei Cloud showcased developments for the Web3 ecosystem.
The company highlighted its commitment to transforming Web3 using innovative technologies like faster ZK rollup transactions, enhanced security, and an increase in IPFS cloud data rewards. According to Huawei, these changes could bring efficiency, protection and scalability to the Web3 industry.
Xue Tengfei, Huawei Cloud Web3 Technical Planning Expert, discussed Huawei’s ZK hardware acceleration, aiming to drastically reduce ZK rollup transaction times from hours to minutes. This improvement is expected to enhance blockchain performance and enable new applications across different industries.
Zhang Ziyi, Chief Architect of Huawei Cloud Blockchain, discussed the tech giant’s focus on Web3 security. He introduced various technologies, like the Node Engine Service (NES) for Ethereum staking nodes and the QingTian Enclave security system. In addition, Zhang Ziyi highlighted that NES simplifies and stabilizes public blockchain node hosting, gaining support from blockchain data, wallet, and dApp service providers.
Moreover, utilizing Huawei Cloud’s proprietary algorithms, NES promises up to 99% staking effectiveness and increased user rewards. Currently, Huawei Cloud’s staking node hosting service is available on its website and open for public use.
Huawei Cloud Aims to Boost Web3 with IPFS and Confidential Computing
Jia Xiaoqiang, Huawei Cloud’s virtualization products director, unveiled the Huawei Cloud QingTian Enclave confidential computing solution at the Fil Dev Summit on September 12. This innovative solution functions as a secure vault for safeguarding wallet private keys, ensuring robust security measures.
These measures include identity verification, data encryption, decryption, and the protection of applications and data on Huawei Cloud Elastic Cloud Servers (ECSs), along with the security of private keys and wallets.
At the same event, Bai Tao, Chief Cloud Storage Solution Architect at Huawei Cloud, introduced Huawei’s InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) data service and elastic cloud deployment solution, developed in collaboration with partners. This development has the potential to streamline data storage on IPFS, resulting in a tenfold increase in data rewards and substantial cost savings.
Bai Tao emphasized Huawei Cloud’s extensive experience in enterprise-level storage, which underpins their cost-effective and efficient cloud storage services. Their elastic cloud deployment solution empowers users with flexible options, including offline setup, cloud verification, or end-to-end cloud deployment.
Huawei Cloud aims to offer a strong infrastructure for Web3, following its “Everything as a Service” approach.
