What is Technology Stack?

The term “tech stack” means a technological stack. A single application or website may be built and operated using this list of all the technical services. Since the technologies are visible as they are placed one on top of the other, frontend to backend, to create an application, we refer to it as a stack. Other names for a tech stack include the data ecosystem, solutions stack, and technology infrastructure.

Understanding of Technology Stack

The frontend is where the tech stack for a web application begins, from the desktop or mobile browsers, as well as the JavaScript that interacts with them. The frameworks for those programming languages are then available to the public, they include React, Angular, Vue and the others. The needed database may be relational or non-relational, the web server, together with its unique collection of languages and frameworks, determines how the server functions and processes this data. Because of the enormous amount of data being handled, modern tech stacks may include many more tools, depending on size. There are many dynamic components involved, including analytics, microservices, performance monitoring and business intelligence.

Frontend tech stack (Modern web applications are based on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, or frameworks based on JS, like React, Vue, and Express):

  • HTML – basic layout for the pages construction
  • JavaScript – JavaScript code controls the page’s dynamic components
  • CSS – responsible for the web pages styling

Backend tech stack has several parts or components including the operating system, framework, database, and server itself.

Full stack tech stack is the most common type of stack used in desktop web apps. It consists of both frontend and backend technologies.
