Ethereum creator Vitalik Buterin releases the “Proof of Stake” book on September 27
Ethereum creator Vitalik Buterin has announced the release of his upcoming book dubbed “Proof of Stake: Essays on the Making of Ethereum and the Future of the Internet.”
As the crypto community is awaiting the Ethereum Merge coming on September 13-15, Vitalik introduces a work that compiles his vivid essays from the past ten years.
Along with the technical notions presented in the volume, there will also be context prepared by media studies scholar Nathan Schneider.
The book comes out on September 27 in two formats: digital and physical. Fans will have the possibility to get signed digital copies and NFTs. Individuals can already mint the non-transferrable signed NFTs by donating any amount of ETH via GitCoin. Once the book comes out, NFT holders will get access to their signed copies.
Proceed from signed digital copies sales will be donated to public goods. Ninety percent of the funds will go to the Bitcoin Grants matching pool, and the other ten percent will go to the book’s publisher Seven Stories Press.
It’s worth noting that individuals can already pre-order “Proof of Stake” paperbacks for approximately $19. The book will be available on Amazon, Barnes&Noble, Hudson Booksellers, and other retailers.
