DC Comics launches an NFT marketplace

Comic book publishing company DC Comics has announced the launch of an NFT marketplace.

The company introduced the Beta version of its marketplace, based on The Palm ecosystem. The latter is built on Ethereum and offers low gas costs and fast transaction finality.

DC NFT Marketplace is now the official platform to buy, sell, and trade DC Comics NFTs.

The first projects are already available on the marketplace. Users can now purchase artworks from the “DC Bat Cowl”, “Gotham City Knightwatch District Sigil”, “DC FanDome 2021” collections, and the “AMC The Batman” poster.

The “DC Bat Cowl” collection features a total of 20,000 NFTs. Its holders have an opportunity to participate in the creation of the comic’s future editions by voting on the characters, storyline, and art. The NFTs are quite pricey but contain utilities – such as access to “Bat Faction Headquarters” where individuals will meet other recruits, monitor events, and build alliances.
