World of Women Fans Can Still Mint Tokens From the Artfest
In Brief
World of Women’s art initiative Spring Artiest is still live.
Individuals can mint the tokens through May 25.
NFT project World of Women has launched a creative initiative aimed at the community. Dubbed Spring Artfest, the event features artworks by 16 creators, including Sara Baumann, Alinadore, Orabel, Essa, Superama, Jacklyn, Varvara Alay, Kelly Hsiao, Rewind Collective, Sera Stargirl, Chris Alliel, Rhi Madeline, YuYu, Glam Beckett, Saeko Ehara, and Smeccea. The virtual exhibition is curated by the WoW artist and creator Yam Karkai.
To mint the artworks, community members must check their eligibility, linked to their WoW NFT skin tone trait. Spring Artfest enables eligible individuals to mint a set of non-fungible tokens from the collection. Notably, collectors that mint the tokens will be airdropped a unique animated work by artist David Ariew.
In addition, WoW partnered with NFT marketplace MakersPlace to organize content for community members. The themes “Mother Earth,” “Cyber Jungle,” and “Flaming Ember” were centered around World of Women’s core values. Individuals could participate in the art contest from May 5 through May 18. The final selection was made by the MakersPlace team. The contest’s winners received 2,000 and 1,000 USDC and the possibility to mint artwork on MakersPlace for free.
World of Women is a blue-chip NFT project that aims to empower women. The brand’s genesis collection, “World of Women,” features 10,000 NFTs. The current floor price of the collection is 0.8485 ETH (approximately $1,512 at the moment of writing), with 82,075 ETH of volume traded since the collection’s launch in July 2021. In March 2022, WoW launched its second collection dubbed “World of Women Galaxy.” It includes 21,400 NFT artworks and has reached a total trading volume of 31,384 ETH.
