Tokenized Funds Meet TradFi: Ondo’s Broker-Dealer Integrates With DTCC Network Handling 85% Of US Mutual Fund Activity

Ondo Finance announced that has become the first tokenization company to join the Fund/SERV platform operated by the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), marking a significant step toward integrating tokenized investment products into the traditional U.S. fund infrastructure. The company announced that its licensed brokerage subsidiary, Oasis Pro Markets — a U.S.-registered broker-dealer and distributor of tokenized investment products — has been admitted as a member of the network.

Fund/SERV serves as the core transaction processing and distribution system for the American fund industry, currently handling more than 85% of all U.S. mutual fund transaction activity. Through this membership, Oasis Pro Markets gains a single, standardized connection to fund companies, wealth management platforms, and service providers, eliminating the need to build bespoke integrations with individual fund providers. The connection covers account-level data, transaction confirmations, reconciliation, fund distributions, tax reporting, and regulatory reporting.

In its announcement on X, Ondo framed the development as the first tokenization company joining “the operational backbone of the U.S. fund industry,” noting that the integration paves the way for Ondo tokenized funds to reach traditional fund distributors already connected to the DTCC network.

What This Means for Mainstream Adoption

The membership addresses one of the most persistent obstacles facing tokenized assets: the lack of operational interoperability with incumbent financial infrastructure. Rather than operating in parallel to traditional fund distribution channels, tokenized funds can now flow through the same rails used by the broader mutual fund ecosystem, potentially accelerating their path to mainstream adoption.

For DTCC, the move aligns with its broader strategy of supporting tokenized assets and fostering connectivity between conventional and digital finance ecosystems. Talia Klein, Managing Director and Head of Wealth & Investment Solutions at DTCC, indicated that interoperability between traditional infrastructure and digital asset ecosystems will be critical to achieving scale and broad market adoption, and that Ondo’s participation demonstrates how established industry infrastructure can support the next phase of market evolution while maintaining trusted standards, scalability, and operational resiliency.

Ondo’s Ian De Bode similarly emphasized that the integration establishes a direct link between tokenized funds and traditional fund distributors through a single standardized connection — infrastructure he described as essential for scaling tokenized funds to mainstream adoption.

DTCC occupies a unique position at the intersection of traditional and digital markets, positioning the organization to serve as the connectivity layer for the next generation of capital markets. By admitting a tokenization platform into its flagship fund network, the clearing and settlement giant has effectively validated tokenized funds as participants in — rather than competitors to — the established financial system. The development will be closely watched by both crypto industry participants and traditional asset managers as a potential template for further convergence between digital and legacy finance.
