Seoul Meta Week 2023 Arrives for its Third Year

METACON 2023, the main event of Seoul Meta Week, will be held at COEX Auditorium on June 29 (Thur) – 30 (Fri) (KST, UTC+9). METACON is the largest networking and knowledge-sharing festival in Asia, where various industries such as Web 3.0, Blockchain, AI, and Metaverse come together to share trends and information.
Seoul Meta Week: METACON 2023, in its third year, will explore the theme “Web 3.0 X Metaverse: The Future of Hyperconnectivity.” The event aims to delve into the current state, prospects, and diverse insights of Web 3.0 and the Metaverse. Spanning two days from the 29 to the 30, the conference will encompass over 20 sessions featuring more than 40 speakers from both domestic and international backgrounds.
Prominent companies and organizations such as The Sandbox, Google Cloud, Tencent, Shutterstock, DRESSX, The Fabricant, NEXON Korea, Amorepacific, SK Telecom, and LG U+ will be actively involved in these sessions, engaging in vibrant discussions, and sharing their expertise.
On the first day, June 29, Kerry Murphy, the founder and CEO of The Fabricant, will give a presentation on “How Digital Fashion Is Changing The Context of IRL Fashion.” Additionally, Natalie Modenova, the founder and COO of DRESSX, will discuss “Co-creation Trends in Digital Fashion and Web3 Philosophy.”
Other sessions will cover various topics such as Metaverse finance with the participation of the four major Korean banks (KB Kookmin, Shinhan, Hana, and Woori), Metaverse and virtual work environments, digital art, the mass adoption of the Metaverse and Web 3.0, investment, generative AI, and more.
On the following day, June 30, Sebastian Borget, the co-founder of The Sandbox, a leading global Metaverse company, will deliver a keynote speech on “Unlocking Brand Value in the Metaverse.” The day will also feature sessions on Metaverse and NFT with the participation of major domestic companies, Metaverse and art-driven marketing, digital fashion, music entertainment, and various other industries utilizing Web 3.0 and Metaverse with diverse presentations and discussions.
The Seoul Meta Week Secretariat stated that this year’s program has been strengthened to provide a concrete agenda for predicting industry changes and enhancing competitiveness, thereby facilitating entry into the Web 3.0 market and establishing a practical stepping stone for Web 3.0 businesses.
