Jan Leike, Superalignment Co-Lead, OpenAI

Jan Leike is a co-leader of OpenAI’s Superalignment Team and has contributed to the creation of ChatGPT, InstructGPT, and GPT-4 alignment. He co-authored the research plan for the Superalignment Team and created OpenAI’s alignment research methodology. He prototyped reinforcement learning using human input while working as an alignment researcher at DeepMind before joining OpenAI. He graduated from the Australian National University with a doctorate in reinforcement learning theory.
