This initiative aims to build on the recent momentum in the development of mini-applications powered by blockchain technology. The program is designed to support and accelerate game developers who are at the forefront of creating games for the Telegram messaging application.
Based on the success of Helika Accelerate, Notcoin, and Helika will jointly assist game studios, mobile applications, and indie developers in creating gaming experiences on the Telegram platform and TON blockchain. This new initiative will be supported by $50 million in funding, and the applications for the first cohort will open next week.
Helika is a data analytics, marketing, and game management platform designed to equip game studios with the insights necessary for making strategic, data-driven decisions. Its tools offer comprehensive insights into in-game activity, community engagement, financial metrics, and competitive data across more than ten blockchains.
Helika launched its first accelerator in collaboration with venture capital firms such as Sfermion, Pantera Capital, and The Spartan Group in April. This initiative provided both traditional and Web3 gaming studios with education and mentorship on game and economy design, game balancing, user acquisition, and live operations, achieving notable success.
Notcoin Attracts Over 35M Players, Donates User-Generated NOT Tokens To Telegram
Notcoin was designed as a popular clicker game in Telegram, introducing many individuals to Web3 through its tap-to-earn mining mechanic. Since its launch in November 2023, the game has attracted 35 million players and logged over 8 trillion “taps.”
Recently, Notcoin donated over 1 billion NOT tokens, valued at approximately $6.8 million, to Telegram founder Pavel Durov as a gesture of appreciation for setting a standard for developers and creating numerous opportunities with the platform. These funds were collectively contributed by 552,586 Notcoin holders, including 203,303 individuals who earned tokens through the game.
