Midjourney Launches Image-to-Text Option for Users to Quickly Generate Text Prompts

Midjourney has added an exciting new development to its platform: an image-to-text tool to help you generate prompts. This great feature allows users to upload an image and receive immediate prompts generated from the visual that can be used in their art design projects.

Midjourney launches img-to-text option for users to quickly generate text prompts

The image-to-text tool is extremely versatile and valuable to any artist or design enthusiast. For complete beginners, the prompts offer an elementary way to learn and get inspired. For experienced professionals, the prompts can help you dive into uncharted creative territory. This added perk can also be especially beneficial when combined with a reference image since users are given more control when they have a target aesthetic in mind.

Moreover, MJ issues four prompts at once, and you can immediately generate a new image from them.

Above, you have an example of how the new feature works. Midjourney was given a photo taken in Tbilisi. Midjourney produced four different prompts based on this photo, each offering a different approach to describing the image as well as different perspectives.

In addition to raising its users’ creative potential, this feature is exemplary in the respect that it remains within the existing Midjourney framework. Until now, image-to-text functions have had limited stability and sometimes even stuttered. The Midjourney model is created to work quickly and efficiently, and its new image-to-text option prides itself on doing just that.

Midjourney also features a bonus – it links any user creations that are related to a specific prompt to the artist’s profile. This way, if anyone is influenced by a particular artist’s design, then that artist receives the recognition they deserve.

Overall, the image-to-text feature on Midjourney is a revolutionary development in art and design that every user should take advantage of. By allowing individuals to deconstruct visuals and have more control over their projects, Midjourney strengthens the creative potential of all its users.

  • Recently Midjourney has decided to end its free trial due to “extraordinary demand and trial abuse.” CEO and founder David Holz blamed a viral how-to video in China and a temporary GPU shortage for the AI image generator’s crash. Those who want to continue using the AI image generator will have to pay a monthly subscription fee. Midjourney also struggled to determine content rules for depicting real people after hyperrealistic images of Trump and Pope Francis went viral.
  • March saw the release of the fifth version of Midjourney. It removes the six (or more)-fingered monstrosities the AI considered hands and replaces them with more life-like five-fingered hands. This change has been made after months of human feedback. the update also added more detailed image designs and introduced the option to remove unwanted text from images.
