Kongregate to Bring Exclusive Bitverse Gaming Experience to The Sandbox
The Bitverse experience in The Sandbox to launch later this year
San Diego, CA (March 21, 2023) – Kongregate, creators of the massively popular web gaming platform Kongregate.com and a pioneering blockchain game developer, today announced that it is expanding its fan-favorite Bitverse universe with a new, exclusive gaming experience coming soon to The Sandbox, a leading decentralized gaming virtual world and a subsidiary of Animoca Brands. Players will be able to access Kongregate’s own hub within The Sandbox’s new gaming-driven neighborhood, Voxel Madness, alongside 11 popular gaming brands and studios including Cut the Rope, Dungeon Siege, and Habbo. This new experience will extend Kongregate’s Bitverse universe into the larger web3 “metaverse” for The Sandbox’s broad gaming audience to access and enjoy.

Bitverse Heroes, pixelated non-fungible token (NFT) avatars that connect all of the games in the Bitverse series (a feat in the web3 space), will have deeper utility in The Sandbox. Kongregate’s extended Bitverse experience will turn the 8-bit avatars into voxelized characters that live within The Sandbox metaverse.
