Gate Update: OpenAI Pre-IPO Hits 639% Oversubscription, Polymarket Leads All Channels, BTC Rebounds To $65K

This past week delivered three defining moments for Gate. First, the platform’s OpenAI (OPENAI) Pre-IPOs Phase 2 subscription opened on July 15 and within a single hour accumulated over $148 million in committed capital — against a $20 million offering cap — pushing the oversubscription rate to 639.39%. The 27,700 asset certificates, priced at $722 each, remain available until July 17, with pre-market trading scheduled to open on July 20. The surge reflects mounting retail and institutional appetite for pre-IPO exposure to high-profile AI assets, particularly as Gate waives both implied trading and custody fees for the offering.

Second, Gate Polymarket cemented its dominance in prediction markets just as the 2026 World Cup entered its semifinal stage. On July 13, Gate Polymarket accounted for approximately 25.93% of Polymarket’s total notional trading volume, holding the top position in daily, weekly, and monthly rankings across all Polymarket channels. Spain’s 2-0 victory over France in the first semifinal only amplified activity, with market attention now turning to the England vs. Argentina clash and, ultimately, the final.

Third, a broad crypto market rebound pushed BTC to $65,010 (+3.77%) and ETH to $1,885.9 (+5.58%). Gate’s BTC spot trading volume reached approximately $604 million — up 18.35% in 24 hours — while ETH spot volume surged to $386 million, up 70.15%, with both assets ranking Gate among the top two exchanges globally by spot trading volume according to CoinGlass.

World Cup Campaigns Still Running

With Spain confirmed for the final and the England vs. Argentina semifinal now the focal point, Gate’s prediction market campaigns remain active. The “Gate Polymarket × World Cup Semi-finals Daily Spotlight Matches” campaign offers a 50,000 USDT prize pool — no correct prediction required. A parallel “World Cup Final Countdown Giveaway” distributes CNY 88 JD.com gift cards across 10,000 total reward slots for users who participate in any quarterfinal, semifinal, or final prediction on Gate Polymarket.

GUSD Staking Crosses 198 Million

Gate’s GUSD stablecoin pool reached 198 million staked, a new recent high. Backed by U.S. Treasury RWA assets, GUSD offers 3.8% minting APR and can be minted 1:1 from USDT, USDC, or USD1. Integration with Launchpool #365 lifts the combined estimated APR to 11.67% for regular users and 81.51% for new users. GUSD also qualifies for the OpenAI Pre-IPOs subscription, allowing users to continue earning holding rewards throughout the lock-up window.

June Transparency Report

Gate’s June 2026 Transparency Report captured substantial growth across the platform. Prediction Market trading volume hit $280 million, up over 145% month-over-month; ETF trading volume approached $20 billion across 356 pairs. Institutional spot trading rose 49.39% from May, with CryptoQuant ranking Gate first globally in average institutional trade size for BTC and ETH markets. Total reserves stood at $8.182 billion as of June 22, with a 115% reserve ratio covering nearly 500 asset types. Gate also completed its first Direct IPO listing with SpaceX (SPCX) and launched Gate Wealth, an integrated platform spanning digital assets, equities, ETFs, forex, commodities, and primary market opportunities. Staking TVL reached $1.154 billion; Simple Earn subscriptions reached $1.925 billion; Gate Layer surpassed 43.8 million on-chain transactions.

Gate Ventures: Institutions Accelerate On-Chain Finance

Gate Ventures’ latest weekly report noted that BTC gained 0.2% and ETH rose 1.2% over the prior week, with spot Bitcoin ETFs recording approximately $197 million in net inflows — ending eight consecutive weeks of outflows. Swift officially launched its blockchain-based shared ledger alongside 17 global banks for a tokenized deposits pilot. Robinhood Chain surpassed $132 million in TVL within two weeks of launch. Eight funding rounds totaled $381 million, led by Prime Intellect ($130 million for enterprise AI infrastructure) and Gauntlet ($125 million strategic investment from SBI Holdings for institutional DeFi vaults).

Metals Stay Strong

Gold (XAU) reached a 24-hour high of $4,104.58, currently holding around $4,032, while silver (XAG) touched $59.73 before settling near $58.40. Gate’s XAU futures open interest stands at $164 million and XAG at $60.23 million, both ranking in the top two industry-wide per CoinGlass. Gate’s tokenized gold (XAUT) spot trading volume also exceeded $7 million in 24 hours, ranking third globally.

New Futures Products and Campaigns

Gate’s Futures Stock Section added five new USDT-margined perpetual contracts — BOT (RoboStrategy), INTW, SNXX (Tradr 2X Long SNDK), XBI (SPDR S&P Biotech ETF), and APP (AppLovin) — supporting 1–20x leverage. An accompanying Airdrop Phase 8 campaign (July 14–23) offers up to 240 USDT per user via registration bonuses, daily check-ins, and volume-based pool rewards.

Gate separately launched pre-market perpetual futures for NEURALINK (Neuralink Corporation), the Elon Musk-founded neurotechnology company, with 1–10x leverage on a USDT-margined basis.

Two additional campaigns are running concurrently: the “Futures Points Double Carnival” (July 14–21) doubles points from both trading volume and account balance snapshots, while the “First Futures Order & Invite Friends” campaign (July 14–22) distributes a 241,000 USDT prize pool, rewarding first-time futures trades, referrals, and volume milestones.

Equities Expansion: 16 Tokenized Securities, Interest Earning, and Portfolio Bots

Gate’s gStocks section launched spot trading for 16 tokenized securities, all fully backed 1:1 by underlying assets, including KOG (Coca-Cola), PGG (Procter & Gamble), NFLXG (Netflix), ARMG (Arm Holdings), and GSG (Goldman Sachs). Gate also introduced an interest-earning feature for stock and CFD account balances: idle USDT and USDx above 1,000 units earn up to 3% annualized yield, calculated via daily snapshots and distributed to spot accounts without any lock-up requirement. A new Stock Portfolio Bot enables automated construction and rebalancing of 2–10 stock portfolios across 12,500+ global assets.

Among individual movers, Hong Kong-listed WANSHUN RUIQIANG Group surged 51.42% on July 15. In U.S. markets, SK Hynix (SKHY) gained 26.29% and Breakwave Tanker Shipping ETF (BWET) rose 23.19%. Korean semiconductor names also performed well: SK Hynix (000660) was up 2.98% and Samsung Electronics (005930) up 3.53%, generating active futures flow on Gate — SKHYNIX futures recorded $92.87 million in 24-hour trading volume with $34.85 million in open interest. In flash memory, SanDisk (SNDK) fell 5.80% while Micron Technology (MU) gained 2.21%; SNDK futures logged $124 million in 24-hour volume on Gate. Index derivatives also saw movement, with ASX futures open interest growing 162.67% over four hours and CMCSA gaining 26.35%.

The Hot Token Trading Competition Phase 51 offers $50,000 in airdrops, with a lucky draw for every $500 in designated token volume and a sprint reward for the first 500 users reaching $14,000 in cumulative volume. A separate ALD Trading Competition awards 850 ALD tokens each to the first 570 users hitting $1,000 in cumulative volume, sharing a $20,000 pool on a first-come, first-served basis.
