Bitget Recognized In Animoca Brands Report For Pioneering Hybrid Exchange Model Beyond Traditional Crypto Trading

In Brief

Bitget is featured in an Animoca Brands report as a leading example of exchanges evolving beyond crypto trading into integrated gateways for tokenized assets, DeFi, and real-world financial services.

Bitget Recognized In Animoca Brands Report For Pioneering Hybrid Exchange Model Beyond Traditional Crypto Trading

Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget announced that it has been featured in a new report by Animoca Brands, titled “Exchanges’ Next Phase: Reaching the Mainstream,” which explores the evolution of exchanges into the primary gateways to the on-chain economy. The report highlights Bitget’s UEX concept as a prime example of how centralized platforms are expanding beyond traditional crypto trading into tokenized assets and real-world financial services.

Centralized exchanges have already played a crucial role in the adoption of cryptocurrency, evolving from basic over-the-counter (OTC) services to multi-layered financial platforms. The joint report points out that while centralized exchanges still hold the majority of market liquidity, the next phase of adoption will depend on whether these exchanges can move beyond trading and become integrated gateways for payments, decentralized finance (DeFi), and tokenized assets. Bitget’s role in this transition is emphasized, with particular focus on how UEX could transform engagement in both retail and institutional markets.

Bitget’s UEX Strategy Sets New Standard For Hybrid Crypto Platforms

Bitget’s UEX strategy is evident in its product offerings, which align with the report’s insights, reflecting the increasing demand for hybrid models. Innovations such as AI-driven trading with GetAgent, on-chain integration for early access to tokens, and stock futures reflect the report’s conclusion that the exchanges most likely to succeed will be those that integrate trading, investing, and real-world functionality into a single platform.

“Our vision is clear: exchanges can no longer be just trading venues. They must serve as bridges, giving users a simple yet powerful way to move between centralized and decentralized worlds,” said Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, in a written statement. “The UEX model represents this future, and this report reinforces why we are confident it is the right path,” she added.

Animoca Brands highlighted the significance of this evolution. “The report shows how exchanges like Bitget are evolving from liquidity hubs into cultural and financial gateways for the entire ecosystem,” said Ming Ruan, Head of Research and Data at Animoca Brands, in a written statement. “It’s a shift that brings together gaming, payments, identity, and tokenized assets, creating an on-chain world that is both accessible and scalable,” he added.

The report highlights that exchanges most likely to lead will be those that establish credibility with institutional players while also catering to retail adoption through culturally relevant initiatives and streamlined user experiences. Bitget’s transition to the UEX model reflects this trend, advancing its partnerships and innovations to set a new benchmark for how exchanges can function as comprehensive, universal gateways.
