Bitget Expands CFD Business With Institutional-Grade Liquidity And Sub-Millisecond Execution

Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget has broadened its contracts-for-difference operations with the introduction of institutional liquidity services aimed at quantitative trading groups, proprietary trading firms, investment funds, retail brokerages, and high-net-worth professional traders. The new service integrates full straight-through processing, multi-layered market depth, execution speeds below one millisecond, and FIX API access to accommodate large-scale and algorithmic trading approaches.

The rollout reflects the expanding role of automation across international markets. Algorithmic strategies, high-frequency trading, futures-to-spot arbitrage, and expert advisor systems impose distinct requirements on trade execution relative to conventional retail participation. At elevated volumes and frequencies, factors such as market depth, order routing efficiency, latency, and integration with internal systems directly influence the quality of execution.

Bitget structured the offering around a complete straight-through processing model, under which orders flow directly to external liquidity sources without intermediary manual handling. This creates an unobstructed channel between order placement and the underlying liquidity provider, catering to firms that maintain continuous order flow and require dependable market access under varying conditions.

Infrastructure and Connectivity Framework

The exchange draws liquidity from institutional channels, including top-tier banks and non-bank market makers, offering clients access to several tiers of order book depth. For entities executing sizable positions or sustained flow, deeper order books serve to mitigate slippage and lessen market impact in cases where top-of-book liquidity proves insufficient to fill an entire order at a single price point. Bitget hosts its trading infrastructure in primary financial data centres located in London and Tokyo, utilizing dedicated network pathways and direct fibre links to facilitate order matching within sub-millisecond timeframes. The platform additionally accommodates FIX API connections, enabling quantitative groups, brokerages, and other institutional participants to link proprietary systems, bridging software, and liquidity aggregation tools directly into Bitget’s CFD trading environment.

“As trading becomes more automated and sophisticated, the quality of the infrastructure behind every trade becomes increasingly important,” said Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget in a written statement. “Professional traders need consistent execution, deep liquidity and reliable connectivity to run their strategies effectively at scale. With our institutional liquidity offering, we are strengthening the foundation of our CFD business to serve these clients better and support the next stage of Bitget’s growth across global markets,” she added.

Client funds are held separately from Bitget’s own operational capital through independent custodial accounts, supplemented by compliance examinations and external audit protocols. This structure affords institutional participants increased clarity regarding asset management practices as they expand their presence on the platform.

The initiative extends Bitget’s CFD capabilities as the firm advances its multi-asset trading ecosystem. Standard retail participants retain access to Bitget’s regular CFD interface via mobile applications, web platforms, and MetaTrader 5, whereas institutional users receive a specialized configuration engineered for elevated volume strategies, enhanced depth requirements, and direct system integration. The development positions Bitget to accommodate a broader spectrum of trading behaviour as its CFD operations extend internationally.
