Alo Yoga has introduced a VR-powered digital shopping experience. The activewear and lifestyle brand partnered with Obsess, an experiential e-commerce platform, to launch the virtual store, accessible through desktop, mobile, or the Meta Quest 2 headset. The app features VR integration, digital styling, beauty and wellness tutorials, workout classes, and a seamless checkout process.

The LA-based brand’s virtual store offers customers the ability to explore and purchase fashion collections, engage with diverse content, and create custom outfits for a visual representation of different Alo top and bottom combinations. The virtual store also features select workout videos from Alo’s exclusive fitness platform, Alo Moves, previously only available to paid subscribers.

Alo Yoga’s launch reflects their belief in the metaverse, as evidenced by their previous establishment of a wellness space in Roblox, which received 65 million visits. The Alo Sanctuary experience on Roblox features an expansive island landscape that focuses on mind-body wellness and has guided meditations, yoga classes, and a virtual store. Each user joining the Alo Sanctuary contributes to mental health initiatives through Alo Gives, dedicated to non-profit organizations.

“The immersive virtual store powered by the Obsess platform will help us reach and engage the Alo community wherever they are and allow us to share our Spring launch, along with our core collection, in a 3D environment that feels unbelievably similar to shopping in one of our stores in real life,”

said Angelic Vendette, VP & Global Head of Marketing at Alo.

Obsess has already created several virtual stores for well-known global brands, including Laura Mercier, Armani Beauty, Fendi, Lee, and many more. The virtual store company provides solutions for businesses to showcase their products and services in a virtual environment, enabling customers to engage with the brand and make informed decisions.
