XPHERE To Showcase Proof-Of-Work Hardware And Pitch Sessions At ‘Mining The Night’ In Seoul

In Brief

XPHERE opens registration for Mining the Night, its official KBW 2026 side event in Seoul featuring a live home miner, keynote, pitch sessions, and prizes.

XPHERE To Showcase Proof-Of-Work Hardware And Pitch Sessions At ‘Mining The Night’ In Seoul

XPHERE, a dual-chain Layer 1 blockchain, has opened registration for its official side event at Korea Blockchain Week (KBW) 2026, titled “Mining the Night.” The event is scheduled for Wednesday, September 30, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM KST at Maison Bard, 5th floor, 512 Gangnam-daero, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Admission requires prior approval from the host, and capacity is limited.

The centerpiece of the evening is a working home miner running live in the venue — referred to as the XP1 in the announcement and as the XP0, developed by ICERIVER, in the event description. Rather than a rendered demo, attendees will be able to observe the hardware in operation, complete with hashing, heat output, and fan noise. The device is designed to make cryptocurrency mining accessible without the need for industrial-scale warehouse infrastructure.

The program opens at 6:00 PM with registration and welcome drinks, followed by opening remarks at 6:40 PM and a keynote titled “Proof of Work in 2026” at 6:50 PM. A session on XPHERE’s dual-chain architecture and an open Q&A with the project’s engineers will address the technical audience, while pitch sessions beginning at 7:00 PM will feature builders from across the Web3 ecosystem in short, consecutive presentations.

From a technical standpoint, XPHERE separates consensus functions across two chains: a Proof of Work-based Proof Chain using the xpHash algorithm, which handles network security and validator selection, and a PBFT-based Main Chain providing approximately one-second finality together with EVM compatibility.

Networking, Prizes, and Ecosystem Partners

From 8:00 PM, the event shifts to open networking, with a complimentary premium bar and full catering available throughout the evening. At 9:00 PM, a lucky draw will award seven prizes exclusively to attendees remaining on-site: first place receives XP tokens valued at over $150, second through fourth place receive OneKey Classic 1S hardware wallets worth $100 each, and fifth through seventh place receive $20 Starbucks gift cards. Winners will be selected live based on wristband numbers. The evening concludes with a DJ set and closing remarks at 9:50 PM, wrapping at 10:00 PM.

The event is hosted by XPHERE and sponsored by several ecosystem partners. Seoul Labs, the team behind XPHERE, builds wallets and consumer applications atop the network while connecting Korea’s Web3 ecosystem to global markets. XCROLL, a global reward ecosystem operating on the XPHERE Mainnet, converts everyday digital activity — beginning with watch-to-earn mechanics on YouTube and TikTok and expanding into gaming and commerce — into rewards via its XCR utility token. Nansen, an onchain analytics platform tracking capital flows across more than 500 million labeled wallet addresses, also sponsors the event, alongside 9CAT Group, an Asia-based Web3 growth and market-entry firm with a portfolio that includes work with major exchanges such as OKX, Bitget, and Binance.

The event targets founders, investors, exchanges, market makers, media, and mining hardware operators. Attendees are advised to register early, arrive by 6:00 PM, and bring their entry QR code, as capacity constraints are expected during KBW week. Photography and filming will take place throughout the evening.
