X Expands Creator Economy Push With New AI Advertising Tool

In Brief

X has launched Creator Connect, an AI-powered tool that matches brands with creators using xAI technology, expanding the platform’s push into creator monetization and advertising.

X Expands Creator Economy Push With New AI Advertising Tool

Social media platform X has introduced Creator Connect, a new AI-driven tool aimed at helping brands identify and collaborate with creators whose audiences and content align with specific marketing goals.

The company said the service is designed to streamline creator partnerships by using AI systems to analyze campaign objectives, audience interests, and real-time discussions taking place on the platform.

According to X, Creator Connect relies on technology developed through xAI to recommend creators who are considered most relevant for a brand’s campaign strategy. The platform said it oversees the entire process, including creator discovery, outreach, content production, and distribution. Brands are still able to review and approve campaign elements at different stages, giving advertisers oversight while reducing the amount of manual coordination typically associated with influencer marketing campaigns.

The launch forms part of X’s wider creator-focused strategy introduced this year. The company has increasingly emphasized tools intended to help creators generate revenue and expand their audiences as competition intensifies among social media platforms for creator talent and advertising spending. X said its recent initiatives include Creator Subscriptions 2.0, an updated subscription product that offers creators additional monetization features and access to tools such as Exclusive Threads, which are intended to strengthen engagement with paying subscribers.

Company executives described the latest initiative as part of a broader effort to establish a sustainable creator economy on the platform. Mitchell Smith, Global Head of Content Partnerships at X, said the company’s recent product developments had created the foundation for a commercial system capable of connecting brands directly with creators. Monique Pintarelli, Head of Global Advertising at xAI, stated that the integration of AI tools and real-time trend analysis could allow brands to engage with online audiences more effectively during major cultural and news-driven moments.

X Expands Creator Strategy Amid Growing AI Advertising Competition

The introduction of Creator Connect comes at a time when technology companies are investing heavily in AI-assisted advertising and influencer marketing solutions. Social media firms including TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Snapchat have expanded their own creator monetization ecosystems over the past several years, reflecting the growing importance of creators in digital advertising strategies. Industry analysts have noted that brands are increasingly shifting marketing budgets toward creator-led campaigns, particularly those that can generate engagement tied to trending online conversations.

For X, the rollout also represents another step in its effort to strengthen advertising products while repositioning the platform around creators, premium content, and AI-powered services. The company has recently expanded revenue-sharing programs and subscription features as it seeks to attract both advertisers and influential online personalities to its ecosystem.
