Lords Of The Rings Creators Enter the Metaverse
The creator of Lords Of The Rings, Wētā Workshop, is planning to enter the Metaverse.
The team behind the studio are design experts based in New Zealand. They have produced the Lord of Rings trilogy, Mad Max: Fury Street, Dune, Avatar, and other great movies.
The design studio has already won the Oscars, and will now join the tech revolution.
The first NFT collection created by the company is going to be a retro-futuristic steampunk Dr. Grordbort. He is a character from the satirical series created by Wētā Workshop which ran from 2005 to 2008.
Wētā Workshop is currently working with FLUF world, the Metaverse ecosystem, so we might expect the whole Dr. Grordbort universe. Films, comics, and even physical figures are rumoured to come.
The ‘armoury’ NFTs of Dr. Grordbort is already available to claim. Some Twitter users mentioned another airdrop is going to take place in April, but we do not know yet if the NFTs will be available for sale.
