KuCoin Launches 5.0 Upgrade, Embedding Trust Across Trading, Assets And AI Services

In Brief

KuCoin launches its 5.0 platform upgrade, spanning compliance, AI, trading and wealth management, with a redesigned interface, Unified Trading Account and accessibility features.

KuCoin Launches 5.0 Upgrade, Embedding Trust Across Trading, Assets And AI Services

KuCoin has announced the launch of KuCoin 5.0, a broad platform overhaul that reorganizes how the exchange handles trading, asset management and user interaction. The update serves as the product-level implementation of the company’s global brand campaign “Trust, Built-in,” which operates under the long-standing slogan “Trust First. Trade Next.” Rather than focusing on a single new feature, the release touches six areas at once: Compliance, Technology, Assets, Experience, AI and Wealth Management.

The most noticeable revisions affect the user interface. Profile Center 2.0 adopts a card-based layout intended to surface information and frequently used functions more quickly. The sub-account system has also been reworked to simplify account creation, tighten security controls and improve overall management. On the charting side, K-line tools now include additional practical features and real-time data, with user settings that carry over between devices.

Accessibility forms another component of the redesign. KuCoin 5.0 ships with a color vision accessibility mode, aimed at users who have difficulty distinguishing colors — a group the company estimates at roughly 360 million people worldwide. The platform continues to offer both Lite and Pro versions, catering to different levels of trading experience and needs.

For more advanced traders, the release introduces the Unified Trading Account (UTA), available to users at VIP1 tier and above. UTA consolidates spot, margin and futures positions into a single framework for funds, margin and risk management, eliminating the need to move capital between separate accounts.

AI Integration and Asset Efficiency

A second major strand of the upgrade concerns artificial intelligence. AI Assistant 5.x now functions as a unified entry point combining conversation, question-answering and task completion across the platform. According to the company, the assistant draws on page context and user actions to interpret needs, recommend services and help finish tasks in areas ranging from market insights and Earn products to trading, customer support and campaigns.

Asset utilization has also been a focus. The update links earning and trading more closely through exclusive wealth management products for VIP users, Earn access through sub-accounts, and support for selected wealth assets within the UTA framework. Main accounts and sub-accounts can both participate in Earn while keeping funds segregated, and KCUSD is now usable as margin inside the Unified Trading Account — reducing the need for repeated transfers between earning and trading activities.

These customer-facing changes are underpinned by continued work in the less visible Compliance, Technology and Assets layers, which the company describes as the foundation supporting the platform’s longer-term evolution.

“Trust should be something users can experience in every interaction—not only in how their assets are protected, but in how clearly, reliably and efficiently the platform works,” said BC Wong, CEO of KuCoin in a written statement. “KuCoin 5.0 is an important step in translating our long-term commitment to trust into the product itself. By bringing our core capabilities into a more connected, intuitive and intelligent platform, we are giving users greater confidence and control today while building the foundation for the next stage of digital finance,” he added.

The company positions KuCoin 5.0 as the groundwork for its next development phase, linking trading, asset management and intelligent services within a single, more coherent experience.
