Intuit Unveils Generative AI Assistant to Empower Small Businesses and Consumers
In Brief
Intuit has unveiled “Intuit Assist,” an AI-powered assistant that empowers clients in financial decision-making, benefiting small businesses and consumers using products like TurboTax and QuickBooks.
The AI assistant signifies Intuit’s commitment to leveling the playing field for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by offering them advanced technology that was previously accessible only to larger corporations.
The financial software giant Intuit has launched “Intuit Assist,” an AI-powered assistant, to empower clients in their financial decision-making processes across its products, including TurboTax and QuickBooks.
TurboTax leverages Intuit’s extensive tax expertise, vast data resources, and proprietary AI-driven Tax Knowledge Engine. Meanwhile, QuickBooks is an AI-powered tool that dives into business performance and customer behavior to uncover actionable insights.
Intuit Assist Advances Financial Support for SMEs
The strategic move represents Intuit’s latest foray into harnessing artificial intelligence to benefit its primary customer base, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Furthermore, Intuit recognizes the need to level the playing field by providing SMEs with cutting-edge technology previously available only to larger corporations.
“Intuit Assist” key features include expediting tax filings, offering quicker access to refunds, and delivering personalized financial guidance. It leverages the company’s proprietary generative AI operating system, which has demonstrated its accuracy through rigorous internal testing. Accuracy is a major concern in AI adoption, as the technology sometimes generates fabricated information.
Intuit’s proprietary GenAI operating system (GenOS) and custom financial language models are tailored for tax, accounting, cash flow, personal finance, and marketing solutions. GenOS empowers the platform to create and deploy transformative GenAI experiences, driving substantial innovation across its products to address customers’ critical financial challenges and foster sustainable growth.
To meet the need for human assistance, Intuit’s Live Platform will enable customers to engage with experts when necessary, ensuring a comprehensive and reliable support system.
The “Intuit Assist” rollout begins with availability to all TurboTax customers and select users of other Intuit products. Also, the company has plans to introduce additional features for the 2023 tax season, further enhancing its commitment to revolutionizing financial decision-making.
“We’re creating a future where we do the hard work for small businesses and consumers to fuel their financial success, helping them achieve their dreams,’ said Sasan Goodarzi, CEO of Intuit. “Leveraging our vast amounts of rich data and years of investment in AI and GenAI, we’re unlocking the power of our platform to reimagine AI-assisted customer experiences.”
The company is organizing a live event today at 9:30 AM PT for an in-depth look and more information about the generative AI-powered assistant.
